A
photo from the Hubble provides the background fabric for this stunning
bead embroidery neckpiece. The central cabochon is a large piece of charoite, a
mineral found only in one location: along the Chary River in
Russia. Its pearly swirling pattern is formed by
interlocking crystals ~ its appearance is totally unique in the mineral
world. The small accent glass cabochons have a marea finish over
a mirrored back. This means that the glass color shifts from
gold, silver, and pink to green flash. At the end of the
sterling silver chain is a vintage lucite bead in a rich matching color.
