bead embroidery

A dear, dear friend gave me the lovely buttons that are featured in this bead embroidery neckpiece. The central steel-cut button immediately captured my imagination, and I knew it would have to be used in something special. One early morning in winter, I was driving along and noticed that beautiful pinky peach color that sunrise causes at only that time of the year. Everything else was white with snow, and the rest of the sky was steely grey. That was it!
